HER RISE FROM THE BOTTOM
Ms. Jesseca found her love for music in Mississippi, in her hometown of West Point, where her passion for writing poetry evolved into a therapeutic outlet. She honed her singing skills within the embrace of family, church, and school choirs, then ventured into acting as a teenager. At the age of sixteen, she moved to Jackson and went into the studio for the first time to record a rap freestyle. After high school, Ms. Jesseca immersed herself in the underground music scene as an assistant, songwriter, and backup singer then she dropped her mixtape, Fashionably Late.
BAD GIRL ERA
Bad Girl Era by Ms. Jesseca is a bold reclamation of identity, confidence, and self-definition, capturing the sound and spirit of the Black American Dream Girl stepping fully into her power. Blending Southern soul, raw honesty, and unapologetic confidence, this EP marks a turning point—no shrinking, no softening, no permission needed. Each track moves between vulnerability and strength, proving that being a “bad girl” isn’t about rebellion for attention, but about choosing yourself, setting boundaries, and owning your voice. Rooted in lived experience and ambition, Bad Girl Era honors where you come from while refusing to be limited by it, speaking to women who are grounded, intuitive, self-made, and evolving in real time.
